Meeting Overview: Tuesday, September 29th, 2015

Thank you to everyone who attended our meeting tonight! We had a really great time! We started out the night talking about CLE, the event our officers attended over the weekend and we also talked about the newsletter. If you have any ideas or articles you want to contribute to the newsletter please email Sydney Yaeger at syaeger2@email.arizona.edu, or talk to her at our next meeting. We then did an icebreaker where we threw cheeseballs at the faces of two members of each family, who each had their faces covered in shaving cream. Family ‪#‎LoveWins‬ (AKA Kiah and Sydney's family) won and their family got a point. After that we talked about upcoming events. We have Ben's Bells on Saturday, October 3rd. We will be meeting at Old Main at 9:30 AM and walking over to the Ben's Bells on University, where the event will start at 10:00 AM. Also on Saturday October 3rd, we will be having our first social! It will be at In-n-Out Burger on Broadway at El Con Mall, and we will have dinner there and also make cards for the kids at Diamond Children's Hospital. We will meet at the roundabout at 4:30 and get to In-n-Out around 5:00. Fall Rally is also coming up on October 16th-18th. If you register by October 2nd it will cost $40 and if you apply by October 10th it will cost $50. This includes meals, housing, and transportation to New Mexico and back to Tucson. We are also having a fundraiser, where we are selling lanyards for $5 that say Circle K International on them. If you want to buy one please bring $5 to the next meeting. We also announced our Member of the Month Alexys Manning! Congratulations Alexys!
Also a few reminders: Dues are due by October 13th. They are now $30. It is important that you pay dues because if you do not you will not be able to attend service events or Fall Rally. If you have any questions or need help paying, please do not hesitate to contact an officer and they will help you. Also, if you still want to apply for a committee chair, please send in your application by Friday, because we will be selecting them this weekend.

Meeting Reminder: Tuesday, September 29th, 2015

Hello everyone! That time of the week is here again: CKI meeting time! We have a bit of a different schedule tomorrow. The meeting will start at 7:00 and it will be located at the fourth floor seating area of the Student Union Memorial Center. If you were at the second meeting this is where we played ships and sailors. If you were not at this meeting, just look for the wide open area with chairs and tables at one end of the fourth floor. Meeting Overview: Tuesday, September 22nd

Thank you to everyone who came to the meeting today! We talked about our events this past weekend and we also discussed our upcoming events: Ben's Bells is on September 26th (the board will be unable to attend this event since they will all be at Leadership Training, so if anyone has a car and can drive, please email Michael ASAP) and Kiwanis Banquet is September 26th (if you are interested in attending please email Michael ASAP). Also dues are $35 dollars and must be turned in by October 13th, but can be turned in at an earlier meeting to Courtney if you have the money earlier. Also, if you feel like you need help paying it or you feel you need more time, please come talk to the board and they will help you out. 
We also had New Member Orientation this evening, where we discussed what dues go towards, District events, International events, international charities, and CKI organization. 
We hope that you all had fun and learned a lot at this meeting and we hope to see you at Ben's Bells this weekend and at next weeks meeting!

Meeting Reminder: Tuesday, September 22nd!

Hello everyone! We hope you all had a fantastic weekend full of service! Thank you to everyone who attended any of our events this weekend! They were all very successful, and that is because all of you did such amazing jobs at each of them. Tonight our meeting is at 7:30 outside of the San Pedro Room at the SUMC. We will be discussing some upcoming events and then we are going to have new member orientation! During this part of the meeting we will be talking to the new members about anything and everything having to do with CKI! If you are not a new member you do not have to stay, but you can if you want. We hope to see you all tonight!

Ronald McDonald House Recap

Thank you to everyone who helped make Ronald McDonald House such a fun and successful event! We helped out by making breakfast for dinner for the people staying there, and we got to meet some of the families staying there and the staff who work there. Don't forget about our other events this weekend: Habitat for Humanity and the Insect Festival!

Flavors of Tucson Recap

Thank you so much to everyone who helped with Flavors of Tucson last night! It was an amazing event where we helped with everything from setting up, registration, and cleaning up to the live auction and counting donations! We even got to pet an adorable puppy! We hope everyone who came enjoyed helping out, and we want to see you all at one of our other events this weekend. Ronald McDonald House is tonight, Habitat for Humanity is on Saturday, and the Insect Festival is on Sunday!

Flavors of Tucson

Hey everyone! If you are going to Flavors of Tucson tonight, please meet at the roundabout in front of the Student Union at 4:15. We have to leave by 4:30 in order to be at the event on time, so please do not be late! Remember to dress up, and we hope to see you all there tonight!

Rattlesnake Run!

Everyone did an amazing job at the Rattlesnake Run this morning! We helped out by handing out programs, getting donations, cheering kids on as they ran in their various events, and cleaning up at the end of the day. After we finished with the event, we had a delicious lunch at Rusty's, where we got to talk to more of the K Family and get to know our new members who attended the event a bit better. Thanks to everyone who attended, and we hope to see everyone at our next event, Flavors of Tucson, on September 17th!
