Meeting Overview: Tuesday, December 1st!

Thank you to everyone who attended our meeting this evening! In case you weren't there, here is what you missed:
Next week's meeting is going to be a holiday party! Please bring a food item to share. We will also be doing a white elephant gift exchange, so please bring a generic gift that is wrapped (please do not spend over $10) and a CKI trivia competition for family points. In addition, we will be electing a new secretary next week, so if you are interested in running or want more details, please email our president, Michael Zimmerman, at mzimmerman1@email.arizona.edu!
This Saturday, December 5th, we will be volunteering at Emerge! Center Against Domestic Abuse's Santa's Workshop. The event will take place from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. If you did not sign up at the meeting and still wish to attend, the link to the online sign up is below!
Lastly, we announced our Member of the Month for November: Wyatt Neubeauer! Congratulations Wyatt!

Hello friends! We hope you are having an amazing week. Our meeting tomorrow is CANCELLED, however, we are still having events this weekend! On Saturday, we have Ava's event (tutoring high school students) from 10am to 2pm. Meeting Overview: Tuesday, October 27th!

Thank you to everyone who came to our meeting and our fundraiser this evening! We talked about our upcoming events: 
Trick or Treat for UNICEF is on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00. 
Valley of the Moon Halloween Carnival is from 6:00 to 8:00 on Thursday. 
Michael's haunted house is on Saturday, and he would like 2 members who have accommodations in Phoenix to attend.
We are also having a Halloween party on Friday from 2:00 to 6:00 at Northpointe. 
We are having a fundraiser/social on Novermber 6th at Sweet Lizard from 6:00 to closing.
There are also some other Halloween events that are coming up this weekend that you all may want to check out:
Historic Lane is having a haunted dungeon from 7:00 to 11:00 on Friday, and they ask that you bring canned foods for the Campus Pantry.
Hopi and Graham-Greenlee are having a Harry Potter themed event called "Hogaween" on Thursday from 7:00 to 11:00.
Also, if you would like to submit anything to the newsletter, please send in your submissions by Friday.
We also made some changes to our T-shirt design, which you can see below!

Hello friends! It's Tuesday, which means that it is time for another CKI meeting! Tonight our meeting will be at 7:30 in the Santa Cruz room at the Student Union Memorial Center. Please note that we will be meeting at 7:30 and not our usual time of 7:00. Also, before the meeting, we will be having a mini social at Scented Leaf to support our fundraiser. This will begin at 6:00 and we will walk over to the SUMC as a group around 7:15. Meeting Reminder: Tuesday, October 20th/Scented Leaf Fundraiser

Hello friends! Tuesday is upon us, which means that it is time for another CKI meeting! Tomorrow we will be meeting at 7:00 in the Copper Room at the SUMC. We will be discussing some upcoming events and voting on t-shirt designs. Also, don't forget that tomorrow is the last day to turn in dues. They are $30, and they include a t-shirt. If you have any questions or concerns about dues, please contact any of the board members and we will be happy to help you.
Don't forget about our Scented Leaf fundraiser tomorrow from 6-8 PM! 15% of the sales made during this time will go towards our club, so be sure to tell your friends to go and support our club. We hope to see you all at the meeting and the fundraiser tomorrow!

Meeting Overview: Tuesday, October 13th!

Thank you to everyone who attended the meeting this evening! We announced our new committee chairs: Nixon is our Service chair, Kim is our K-Family chair, Karen is our Fundraising chair, and Emma is our Social chair. Congratulations Nixon, Kim, Karen, and Emma! Also, we talked about our upcoming events: Fall Rally and the Scented Leaf fundraiser. If you are going to Fall Rally, Michael will be leaving at 3:00 PM on Friday, so meet him at the roundabout in front of the Student Union Memorial Center at that time. If you want to leave earlier, please message Ava or Aubrey and make arrangements with them. Our Scented Leaf fundraiser will take place on two different days, October 20th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and October 27th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. If you have not been to Scented Leaf, it is a tea house on University next to Wilko and Chipotle. Please tell your friends to come! We are also still selling lanyards, so if you want one, please bring $5 to the next meeting. Also, Kiwanis de Amigos is having a rummage sale where they will be selling apartment sized refrigerators, among other items, so if you are interested in buying one please tell Ed at the next meeting. Lastly, a reminder about dues. We are extending the deadline for dues one more week, so if you have not yet paid your dues, please bring $30 to the next meeting. Meeting Overview: Tuesday, September 29th, 2015

Thank you to everyone who attended our meeting tonight! We had a really great time! We started out the night talking about CLE, the event our officers attended over the weekend and we also talked about the newsletter. If you have any ideas or articles you want to contribute to the newsletter please email Sydney Yaeger at syaeger2@email.arizona.edu, or talk to her at our next meeting. We then did an icebreaker where we threw cheeseballs at the faces of two members of each family, who each had their faces covered in shaving cream. Family ‪#‎LoveWins‬ (AKA Kiah and Sydney's family) won and their family got a point. After that we talked about upcoming events. We have Ben's Bells on Saturday, October 3rd. We will be meeting at Old Main at 9:30 AM and walking over to the Ben's Bells on University, where the event will start at 10:00 AM. Also on Saturday October 3rd, we will be having our first social! It will be at In-n-Out Burger on Broadway at El Con Mall, and we will have dinner there and also make cards for the kids at Diamond Children's Hospital. We will meet at the roundabout at 4:30 and get to In-n-Out around 5:00. Fall Rally is also coming up on October 16th-18th. If you register by October 2nd it will cost $40 and if you apply by October 10th it will cost $50. This includes meals, housing, and transportation to New Mexico and back to Tucson. We are also having a fundraiser, where we are selling lanyards for $5 that say Circle K International on them. If you want to buy one please bring $5 to the next meeting. We also announced our Member of the Month Alexys Manning! Congratulations Alexys!
Also a few reminders: Dues are due by October 13th. They are now $30. It is important that you pay dues because if you do not you will not be able to attend service events or Fall Rally. If you have any questions or need help paying, please do not hesitate to contact an officer and they will help you. Also, if you still want to apply for a committee chair, please send in your application by Friday, because we will be selecting them this weekend.

Hello everyone! That time of the week is here again: CKI meeting time! We have a bit of a different schedule tomorrow. The meeting will start at 7:00 and it will be located at the fourth floor seating area of the Student Union Memorial Center. If you were at the second meeting this is where we played ships and sailors. If you were not at this meeting, just look for the wide open area with chairs and tables at one end of the fourth floor. Meeting Overview: Tuesday, September 22nd

Thank you to everyone who came to the meeting today! We talked about our events this past weekend and we also discussed our upcoming events: Ben's Bells is on September 26th (the board will be unable to attend this event since they will all be at Leadership Training, so if anyone has a car and can drive, please email Michael ASAP) and Kiwanis Banquet is September 26th (if you are interested in attending please email Michael ASAP). Also dues are $35 dollars and must be turned in by October 13th, but can be turned in at an earlier meeting to Courtney if you have the money earlier. Also, if you feel like you need help paying it or you feel you need more time, please come talk to the board and they will help you out. 
We also had New Member Orientation this evening, where we discussed what dues go towards, District events, International events, international charities, and CKI organization. 
We hope that you all had fun and learned a lot at this meeting and we hope to see you at Ben's Bells this weekend and at next weeks meeting!

Hello everyone! We hope you all had a fantastic weekend full of service! Thank you to everyone who attended any of our events this weekend! They were all very successful, and that is because all of you did such amazing jobs at each of them. Tonight our meeting is at 7:30 outside of the San Pedro Room at the SUMC. We will be discussing some upcoming events and then we are going to have new member orientation! During this part of the meeting we will be talking to the new members about anything and everything having to do with CKI! Ronald McDonald House Recap

Thank you to everyone who helped make Ronald McDonald House such a fun and successful event! We helped out by making breakfast for dinner for the people staying there, and we got to meet some of the families staying there and the staff who work there. Don't forget about our other events this weekend: Habitat for Humanity and the Insect Festival!

Flavors of Tucson Recap

Thank you so much to everyone who helped with Flavors of Tucson last night! It was an amazing event where we helped with everything from setting up, registration, and cleaning up to the live auction and counting donations! We even got to pet an adorable puppy! We hope everyone who came enjoyed helping out, and we want to see you all at one of our other events this weekend. Ronald McDonald House is tonight, Habitat for Humanity is on Saturday, and the Insect Festival is on Sunday!

Rattlesnake Run!

Everyone did an amazing job at the Rattlesnake Run this morning! We helped out by handing out programs, getting donations, cheering kids on as they ran in their various events, and cleaning up at the end of the day. After we finished with the event, we had a delicious lunch at Rusty's, where we got to talk to more of the K Family and get to know our new members who attended the event a bit better. Thanks to everyone who attended, and we hope to see everyone at our next event, Flavors of Tucson, on September 17th!
